Package #2: (09 days/08 nights) San Jose – Turrialba- Bahia Ballena (South Pacific)- Piedras Blancas National Park

Day 01: San José

Upon arrival at the Juan Santamaría International Airport, our driver will be waiting for you at the airport exit gate to take you to San Jose. Lodging at the Hotel Boutique Jade. This hotel has 30 cozy rooms built around tropical gardens inside and offers a relaxing and comfortable environment for your stay in San Jose, whether for business or pleasure.

Day 02: San Jose / Turrialba

Breakfast at the hotel. Rental of a Daihatsu Bego 4x4 to continue towards Turrialba. Turrialba is a small agricultural city of about 60,000 inhabitants and is located 65 kilometers from San Jose. The valleys and mountains in this part of Costa Rica are known for their rich, fertile land and majestic mountain scenery. Overnight at Hotel Casa Turire. Casa Turire is a charming hotel surrounded by nature, ideal for exploring Costa Rica. It has twelve standard rooms and four suites. These rooms are spacious, made with wood, high ceilings, and private balconies, and offer spectacular mountain views. Each room has a telephone, satellite TV, hairdryer, and toiletries in the bathrooms.

Day 03: Turrialba/ Rafting Pacuare River

Breakfast. Tour to the Pacuare River Rapids: The Pacuare River is considered one of the five best rivers in the world for the practice of rapids. This tour takes place in the 18 miles of Class III and IV rapids, observing impressive landscapes on the edge of the tropical rain forest, including refreshing waterfalls. All the guides are specialized and with a lot of experience in the river. The tour begins near the town of Tres Equis, one hour east of Turrialba. Before entering the river, our guides give an important safety talk so that people become familiar with the safety instructions they will have on the river. After practicing all the commands, the descent down the river begins. In addition to enjoying the rapids, Also on the way, you can stop to take a dip and enjoy a cold lunch on the river bank, during this time you can enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. After lunch, we continue the adventure along the river until we reach a bridge in the city of Siquirres. This tour takes approximately 4 hours (on the river). Overnight at Hotel Casa Turire.

Day 04: Turrialba/ National Park Marino Ballena

Breakfast. Departure to the Marino Ballena National Park, located in the South Pacific, this National Park was created to protect humpback whales from the northern and southern hemispheres. Overnight at La Cusinga Lodge. This is an ecological lodge dedicated to marine and terrestrial conservation and also to environmental education. Its location offers customers to enjoy panoramic views of the ocean. In addition, La Cusinga is part of a private nature reserve that allows visitors to enjoy the wildlife of the tropical forest.

Day 05: National Park Marino Ballena

Breakfast. Snorkel tour in Playa Ballena, during this tour we will make strategic stops to observe animals for example toucans, monkeys, sloths, and many more. Upon arrival at the beach, our guide will instruct you on the basic rules as well as safety measures when using the snorkel. Then we will start the departure to Ballena Island for approximately 45 minutes, where we will start snorkeling around the Island for an hour. Then we will have a picnic based on fruits, drinks, and cookies before starting the return to Playa Ballena and consequently to the hotel. Overnight at La Cusinga Lodge.

Day 06: National Park Marino Ballena / National Park Piedras Blancas

Departure to the Piedras Blancas National Park, this park was originally conceived as part of the Corcovado National Park. Overnight at Esquinas Rain Forest Lodge. Esquinas Rainforest Lodge is surrounded by thousands of acres of virgin forest. It is a haven for nature lovers who want to experience the sounds and beauty of the humid tropical forest in a peaceful setting. All rooms have a private bathroom with hot water and a ceiling fan, they are also decorated with colorful fabrics and materials from the Guaymi and Boruca Indians. Lunch and dinner included.

Day 07: National Park Piedras Blancas

Breakfast. Free day to enjoy a wide variety of excursions that will take you through a jungle with a biological diversity equal to the Osa Peninsula and the Corcovado National Park. Overnight at Esquinas Rainforest Lodge. Lunch and dinner included.

Day 08: National Park Piedras Blancas / San Jose

Breakfast. Departure to San José. In the afternoon, return from the car to the hotel. Lodging at the Hotel Boutique Jade.

Day 09: San Jose/ Flight back home

Breakfast. Transfer to the Juan Santamaría International Airport to take your flight back home.
