Itinerary:

Day 01: San Jose

Transfer from Juan Santamaria International Airport to Presidente Hotel. A four-star, 100-room hotel in the heart of Downtown San Jose, Costa Rica, the Hotel Presidente is located on the corner of the Central Avenue Pedestrian Boulevard and Seventh Street, just 20 minutes from the San Jose, Costa Rica International Airport (SJO). Overnight at Presidente Hotel

Day 02: San Jose /Tortuguero

Tour to Tortuguero National Park. Typical breakfast included on the way and visit to a banana plantation. Boat transfer to your lodge. Lunch. In the afternoon visit Tortuguero town and the small museum of the Caribbean Conservation Corporation. Dinner. Overnight at Evergreen Lodge, a beautiful hotel in the jungle with private bungalows.

Day 03: Tortuguero

Breakfast. Boat ride to the National Park and hidden canals and lagoons around the park. At afternoon hiking in the area. Lunch and dinner. Overnight at Evergreen Lodge.

Day 04: Tortuguero/Puerto Viejo Beach

Breakfast. At 9:00 am, departure to Puerto Viejo Beach. Overnight at Azania Bungalows.

Day 05: Puerto Viejo Beach

Breakfast. Free day to enjoy the area, we recommend you to visit Cahuita National Park. Overnight at Azania Bungalows.

Day 06: Puerto Viejo Beach/ Pacuare

Breakfast in the hotel. Early morning pick-up in your hotel lobby to take the white water rafting tour. Transportation service (approximately 1½ hours) to Pacuare River. Exciting 1-1½ hour river rafting tour to the Pacuare Lodge (class II-III rapids) where you will enjoy a two night stay at Costa Rica’s premier eco-lodge. Arrival at the Pacuare Lodge 12:00- 1:00 pm. After lunch participate in an optional canopy tour (not included in package price) or waterfall hike, or simply relax in your private bungalow or suite. Dine on gourmet delicacies by candlelight and then visit our upstairs lounge for a cocktail or refreshment before retiring to a restful night’s sleep. Dinner. Overnight at Pacuare Lodge, located next to the river. In the last years the Pacuare Lodge has consistently exceeded the guest’s expectations by offering what some have called “Costa Rica’s ultimate rainforest lodging experience.”

Day 07: Pacuare / Arenal

You’ll wake up to bird song and the soothing sound of the river nearby. Then head over to the main lodge for a delicious breakfast of home-made bread, tropical fruits, yogurt, eggs, pancakes, cereal and juice and coffee.

Between 9:00-10:00 am. you will depart by raft for an even more fun-filled day of white water rating excitement (approximately 3½ hours over class III-IV rapids), including a delicious picnic lunch along the river. At our river take-out you will have a chance to change at our private facilities before being transferred by private minibus to Arenal Volcano.

The very active Arenal Volcano frequently emits sounds of violent explosions, attended by clouds of gray, brown, and orange gases. Overnight at Arenal Volcano Inn.

Day 08: Arenal / San Jose

Breakfast in the hotel. Canopy Tour in the morning. At afternoon, departure to San Jose. Overnight at Presidente Hotel.

Day 09: San Jose/ Home departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back home
